Good news, all: the UW Campus Sustainability Fund has awarded us $9000 to support our next project phase. If you're interested, you can read the original proposal here. This means that we'll soon be gearing up for our biggest endeavor yet, and by late March we'll be elbows-deep in tackling another set of waste issues on campus. More details will be posted on this site as things develop, but those who might be interested in volunteering should contact us soon. Until then, thanks to the CSF for deeming us worthy, and cheers all around to those who helped make this possible.
To help promote tomorrow's "Short Takes on Plastics" event, The Daily published an article about several of tomorrow's speakers, including a short interview with me. It says that we discovered that "plastic composes the majority of materials thrown away," which is not true, but hey... it's still nice to be in the news.
