We've now added a Calendar of Events page to the website. This page will be continually updated with UWGP events, as well as other relevant local events, making it easy to keep track of our activities, follow our progress, and get even join us in our work!
It's always nice to get a little attention for your work, and we appreciate the good folks at UW News and Information for writing a story about our fall project. Huzzah for good publicity!
It's still a work in progress, but we've begun to accumulate resources for teaching kids about garbology on a page devoted specifically to that purpose. Have a look! And to any parents or teachers out there: please feel free to let us know what you'd like to see added!
As the first post on this blog space, this post is intended to get everyone up to speed on all past updates and announcements, which have been migrated from the main page to this location. Have a look at these previous announcements to get a feel for the state of our current work as of this posting, as well as upcoming events in which we will be participating. Previous announcements are listed by their original post date, and are ordered from most recent to least.

11/20/2012: Good news! After review of our LOI, the CSF committee has invited us to submit a full application by early January 2013. We're now one step closer to securing funding to support our 2013 project goals. Wish us luck on the full application!
11/8/2012: We've submitted our letter of intent to the UW Campus Sustainability Fund. This is the first step in the process of applying for CSF grant money. If they like the gist of our project, they'll then invite us to submit a full application. Read the body of our LOI here. (Note that this document is just a short general description of our proposed project, and doesn't include formal headings, contact info, or the like, since that stuff gets submitted elsewhere).
11/7/2012: Amy has put together a Facebook page for our project. Have a look.

10/17/2012: It's official... WE'RE TOTALLY FAMOUS. The Daily has an article about our fall project. Don't worry, we won't let all the fame go to our heads, and we're happy to sign autographs for all our fans out there. Just keep the paparazzi away, please; even superstars need a little privacy. Now where did we park our diamond-encrusted Hummer limo? JEEEEEEEVES! Chop, CHOP, man; Paris Hilton's trash won't sort itself, you know!
