UWGP is back from our summer hiatus, and we have lots of news and updates from the interim.

First, UWGP (belatedly) welcomes Aaron Tam to our team!  Aaron is now our Student Outreach Coordinator, and he's currently working with Emily Newcomer at UW Recycling to disseminate the insights we generated during our work on The Denny Project.

Second, UWGP is now planning a detailed examination of UW dormitory waste, and we hope to begin waste sorting and analysis during winter quarter.  Anyone interested in participating in this work is encouraged to contact Jack.  Students interested in working with UWGP during fall quarter are also encouraged to contact Jack to see if he has any small independent projects cooking.  Students interested in fall participation are also encouraged to contact UW Recycling to get involved in their ongoing outreach to tailgaters at Husky Stadium.

Lastly, UWGP will be featured as part of a new series on UWTV.  The series is entitled Climates of Change and will explore sustainability at UW.  It was put together by UW ESS and will feature 4 episodes, each of which will be aired on Seattle area channel 27 on Sunday evenings at 9:30.  The first episode is tonight at 9:30 -- so make sure to tune in! -- and aired episodes will also be made available through the UW ESS website linked above.
PictureUW Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability's new TV miniseries will feature UWGP along with other UW sustainability efforts.

Leadership is practiced not so much in words as in attitude and in actions.
