1) UWGP will be participating in the Burke Museum's "After Hours @ the Burke: Plastics Unwrapped!" event on May 23rd from 7-9PM. This event will be held at the Burke Museum, and as always it will be free for UW students to attend. As always, this event is also listed on our calendar along with all UWGP-related events.
2) On Tuesday (May 7th), Denny Hall was outfitted with UW Recycling's MiniMax System and restroom paper towel composting, and now composting is available throughout the building. The changeover was supported by UW CSF and is part of the Denny Project's efforts to measure the impacts and benefits of these programs, which UW Recycling hopes to spread across campus. So stop by Denny if you want to get a feel for what UW's waste systems will look like in the future.
3) On April 24th, UWGP participated in UW Recycling's 2013 Trash-In, and Emily Newcomer has graciously shared her summary of the event and our findings.
4) At our April 22nd trash sort, Morgan Dusatko from UW Admissions visited and took several pictures of our work. He's graciously made these photos available on Flickr, so make sure to look through them if you're interested in seeing us in action He's also preparing to make a video about UWGP for the Office of Admissions, so stay tuned for further news about his work with UWGP.
