Tickets for the event cost $5 and are available online here. Venue doors open at 6:30, leaving plenty of time for hobnobbing before Mr. Jordan kicks off his presentation.
Importantly (to us anyway), the UWGP has been graciously invited to participate in this event, and we'll be there before the presentation to meet event organizers and attendees and to present a little bit about our work. We don't mind bragging that we're adept hobnobbers, and our trashy charms alone are worth the cost of admission. We therefore hope to see you there!
A bit more information about the presentation from the Sightline Institute's website:
"In the first event of Sightline’s 20th anniversary speaker series, Seattle photographer Chris Jordan will take audience members through a moving exploration of fabled Midway Island. For three years, he immersed himself in the stunning environmental tragedy unfolding in the heart of the Pacific Ocean. His photos and film project recount his harrowing and redemptive journey into horror, beauty, grief, love, and ultimately, healing."
