Amy and Megan, two of UWGP's original members, will be presenting research and results from previous UWGP efforts. Their presentation will take place between 1:15 and 2:45 in Mary Gates Hall room 171 as part of Oral Presentation Session 1B, which is entitled "Nutrient Cycles: Changing Perceptions of Water, Agriculture, and Waste." Their presentation is entitled "The Trash Talks: Garbology, Waste Diversion Rates and Contamination Levels on UW Campus."
Sharon, another one of our current members, will also be presenting at this session on some of her previous independent work. Her presentation is entitled "Urban Hunting and Gathering: Waste, Want, and Worth in Mexico City."
In addition to the fine work of UWGP students, this session will feature a number of other UW students working on waste-related issues, including presentations by students (and mentors) with whom UWGP has worked in the past. We therefore encourage you to check out this event and support the hard work of so many bright and talented UW students. And most of all, good luck to the UWGP folks presenting on Friday!
